About Us

In 2006 two Flotilla Skippers and outdoor enthusiasts, Alan Wood and Irenka Griffin founded SailnetUK Ltd, a yacht racing and RYA training centre in Brighton, which quickly established itself as a favourite activity supplier to the top experience agencies (Tesco, Red Letter Days, Virgin Experience, Activity Superstore..), executive team building companies and fashionable hen and stag groups.

At the height of business, SailnetUK were introducing over 1000 people to sailing per season and hosted two Euro Gay Cup Sailing Regattas.  The impressive blue chip client list and repeat business record were testimony to their efforts in offering the best, unique outdoor corporate and family activities.  This was recognised in 2008 when the company went on to win the South East's prestigious, Tourism Excellence Awards for ‘Best Tourism Experience’ and also the ‘Best Sports Tourism Company'.  They also came runner up in the Sussex Business Awards for ‘Best New Business’.

Not content with promoting just sailing, In 2011 the Alan and Irenka establish 'Green Active Breaks', a company dedicated to promoting an even wider range of activities and short breaks in and around London and the South East of England, with genuine environmental credentials.
